This is a short extract from a sound installation 'the ocean misses a beat' commissioned for a festival in plymouth, uk and subsequently presented in chester as part of the 'up the wall' festival. It features recordings of the sea i made at heybrook bay in devon.

Happy dance oriented loop. Snow, furtrees, sparks.

A very hard hitting sub kick drum. A filtered heavily compressed 808 that's been dropped half and octave.

This kinda sound like a video game song you'd hear in the local shop or business.

Put together this small drumbeat using an app called musical sketch pad (from windows app store). Do what ever you want with it. Please give me comments in how it can be improved.

126. 5 bpm loop made from ultra-high-frequency glitch noises. Weird fun interp artifact tones at increased speeds.

This sound was made only with audacity effects. I used 2 risset drum effects, followed by a sinusoidal sound at 220 hz with a fade in, and finally one 10ms beat of a click track with a reverberation effect.

120 bpm kick snare thumper double claps offbeat. Wav.

Drumloops with heavy effects on it, somewhat idmish. 130 bpm, but also sounds good played in other speeds. Slicing in recycle or some other slicer can also give interesting results.
